Besides learning so much during this week

I found myself with a wonderful group of people from all over the word, who share my passion for Israel and its' people. This Mission has enhanced my affinity with Israel and has been a refreshing change from the anti-Israel rhetoric that permeates our mainstream news sources. I wholly recommend HonestReporting Missions for anyone who loves Israel, and for anybody who wants to learn more about its history, people and culture. The sessions are all well organized, interesting and varied.

I came on this HonestReporting Mission

to learn more about the many challenges facing Israel and the Jewish people on the ground and in the media and to help my advocacy. I was certainly not disappointed. I found the variety of speakers, the talks and places we visited were all excellent in providing a better perspective of the internal and external issues facing Israel, the disputed territories and Israel's neighbours. Also it was very instructive to hear from professionals on the bias against Israel by the international and social media and how the issue can and is being confronted. As a Christian, the opportunity to talk with and discuss deep topics with Jewish members of the group and HR staff especially over the many excellent and delicious meals and on our travels in Israel showed that we had so much in common. At the end of the mission I was sad to say goodbye to our newly formed friends but hope to continue to stay in touch!
